Explanations
Here I publish some layman's guides to explain some of what I've been through from the patient’s perspective, to help others understand and cope with similar situations.

Faith In The Dark

Faith In The Dark
I hope to give some insight regarding how my Christian faith is helping me cope with the challenges of recent years.

The Great Escapade!

The Great Escapade
Share my experiences of my pilgrimage around the world in May & June 2005. Text taken from my blog site “The Great Escapade

In summary for those stumbling across this site who don’t know me:
I was diagnosed with bowel cancer aged 27 in February 2002 and underwent three operations, chemotherapy and radiotherapy during the rest of the year. I had several months’ remission before the disease was found to have returned in September 2003 in my liver and lungs.

After enduring six different chemotherapy regimes I unfortunately had to stop treatment on 8 March 2006, so I’m now into the ‘palliative care’ stage of my journey. My latest challenge before going to heaven is to write a book about my journeys, with cancer and travelling around the world, sharing how God has been such a positive influence in each - though my reduced energy is making this task harder!
